Nye County officials are projecting the county's budget will have a shortfall next fiscal year of around $1.5 million.
The Pahrump Valley Times reports the hole in the budget largely comes from no mining revenue from Round Mountain.
The county plans on running a deficit this year in order to balance the budget, whereby in the future those mining revenues would be additional, supplementary income instead of necessary monies for budget items.

County officials also said the projected deficit was down almost a million dollars from what was originally projected.
