A Henderson Police officer is suing the city, alleging that male colleagues discriminated against her because she's a woman and retaliated against her when she complained.
Tiffany Dunsworth-Hampton seeks damages greater than $10,000 in the sex discrimination and civil rights lawsuit filed Nov. 18 in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas.
A city spokeswoman declined Tuesday to comment on the lawsuit, and called Dunsworth-Hampton's employment a personnel matter.
The lawsuit says Dunsworth was dating a Henderson Police lieutenant, Scott Hampton, when she was hired in September 2012. They later married.
It alleges that for more than two years, Dunsworth rejected male officers' invitations to meet after work.
She alleges male colleagues called her derogatory names, isolated her during meetings and failed to respond to requests for backup on patrol.
