SLS, Hilton Part Ways On Loyalty Program

A money-losing resort on the Las Vegas Strip is no longer affiliated with the Hilton hotels' loyalty program.

Vegas Inc reports that SLS Las Vegas and Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. provided nearly identical statements Thursday confirming that they have "mutually ended" the franchise agreement.

SLS had previously been included in Hilton Worldwide's Curio collection, a group of independently operated hotels connected to the Hilton loyalty program HHonors. The statements said SLS will no longer accept or award HHonors points.

Hilton's departure is the latest in a string of issues SLS has encountered since opening in August 2014. Its president left after two months, the buffet closed and Los Angeles fashion retailer Fred Segal removed its stores from the property.

The resort lost $35.3 million in the first quarter of this year and $48.7 in the second.
