LAS VEGAS (AP) — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information in the deaths of several ducks and swans in a northwest Las Vegas community.
KTNV-TV in Las Vegas reports that state Sen. Mark Manendo helped Nevada Political Action for Animals raise additional reward money to help find whomever is responsible for the deaths in Desert Shores.
The reward was initially $2,500.

The Desert Shores Community Association says two adult and two baby swans, along with three ducks, were found dead Nov. 8.
Wildlife officials say other animals killed the birds but animal activists and members of the community disagree.
