The Elko County School Board is meeting today to discuss whether or not certain types of afterschool programs can be reintroduced.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports the board, which had to cut many afterschool programs due to the Great Recession, solicited opinions from school principals to determine what kinds of programs their schools needed.
Some of the offerings may focus on remedial education efforts, or extra help with certain types of coursework.

The school board is also expected to discuss plans to roll out the Infinite Campus software package to teachers, parents and students.
The software allows teachers to share information with parents and students, including their class grades.
