New Details Emerge In North Las Vegas SWAT Shooting

New details are emerging about a police shooting that left a 25-year-old man dead and two SWAT officers wounded this week outside a home where the man lived with his girlfriend, their children and her father.

Neither the man who was killed nor the officers who were wounded were identified Thursday.

Officer Steven Wiese says the man threatened to kill police, his girlfriend, three young children and the grandfather in the home when police arrived a little after 5 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a domestic argument involving a man with a gun.

Wiese says the man came out holding a shotgun and two officers were wounded by shotgun fire.

One of the injured officers and another officer shot the gunman dead.

The wounded officers are recovering.
