LAS VEGAS (AP) — A news organization and non-profit group say they want a Nevada judge to unseal an exhibit that may tie casino company Las Vegas Sands Corp. to organized crime in Asia.
Guardian News & Media and the Campaign for Accountability recently filed motions with Clark County District Court Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez to unseal the exhibit called the "Vickers report."
The exhibit is part of a long-running wrongful termination lawsuit filed by a former executive against the company.
The non-profit says in its motion it wants to see the exhibit to determine if Republican donor and Las Vegas Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson used money linked to criminal activity for election donations.
Judge Gonzalez is expected to consider a date when the arguments will be heard.
A Sands spokesman declined to comment.
