LAS VEGAS (AP) — Airport officials say the number of travelers flying into and out of Las Vegas in May jumped 5.7 percent to nearly 4 million passengers.
McCarran International Airport officials reported Friday that the 3.99 million passengers included 94,365 travelers who used private planes and helicopters, a 14.7 percent increase compared to a year ago.
It's the largest number of travelers in a May since 2007.
Airport spokeswoman Christine Crews says flights were nearly if not 100 percent full during the fight weekend.
Airport statistics show airlines have also added 5 percent more seats to their flights compared to a year ago.
May was event-filled with the much-hyped Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao boxing match, the two-weekend Rock in Rio music festival and the start of the World Series of Poker.
