LAS VEGAS (AP) - A state road official says a busy earthquake-damaged freeway ramp near downtown Las Vegas will need one night to repair.
Nevada Department of Transportation spokesman Tony Illia said Wednesday that a date hasn't been set for the work.
Illia says it's expected to cost about $20,000 to replace a protective rubber bridge joint casing and re-pour surrounding concrete on the ramp from southbound U.S. 95 to southbound Interstate 15.
The road was shut down for several hours after the magnitude 4.8 temblor struck about noon Friday.
The quake was centered 24 miles southwest of the Lincoln County town of Caliente. That's about 100 miles north of Las Vegas.
Illia says the so-called Spaghetti Bowl interchange handles about 250,000 vehicles a day. It's by far the busiest in the state.
