More holiday-themed arts and culture to spark your celebration spirit

December 11

The Performing Arts Center closes out its calendar year with another guitar-centric masterclass. Colombia-born Vegas resident Ricardo Cobo is a six-stringer renowned for his spirited and expertly honed fretwork. The former UNLV professor returns to his old stomping ground with the show “Diary of Musical Images” — that’s three nouns that normally don’t go together, but trust the process, folks. If you haven’t experienced Latin American classical guitar by a literal maestro in person, avail yourself of this inexpensive opportunity.

Organized crime, noir films, and cocktails — who better than Eddie Muller, noir film expert and Turner Classic Movies host, to introduce a curated series of classic movie clips featuring organized crime themes, while also making thematically inspired cocktails for guests? Returning to the Museum for just one night, Muller’s wit, wisdom and cocktail-making prowess will be on full display for this can’t-miss presentation.

Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to participate in event cocktail tasting. Valid government-issued identification showing proof of age will be required upon entry.

THE BÜTTCRACKER is back at Brüka as we celebrate the holidays with this original parody of the classic Nutcracker and twist it into a cross between Peter Pan and Dancing With The Stars. A “celebrity” panel of “experts” votes for the winners. Opening Friday, December 5 through Sunday, December 21, 2025. What began as a parody of The Nutcracker has evolved into a regional cult classic, offering a unique underbelly to the original ballet each year it is performed. Not for ballet purists or those with tight slippers. Recommended: 12 years and up.
