This month's First Friday is a special one. It's the Summer Solstice! To celebrate, Las Vegas local Ethan Salmon will be featured throughout the night. The LVA graduate specializes in graphic design, painting, drawing, photography, and more. His current work, which folks can see at the event's Art Walk, focuses on the memories behind physical and architectural space.

Michael Chin stays busy. He's originally from upstate New York, a UNLV Honor's College professor, has multiple college degrees and seven published books. This June, he'll be publicly reading from his newest one, This Year's Ghost, at the Writer's Block. Take an hour of your early summer to hear some of Chin's wild everyday ghost tales.

Now, don't let the word intensive intimidate you. This three-day dance workshop is an opportunity for high school dancers looking to train with collegiate professionals. It doesn't stop at jazz ad hip-hop choreography, but participants will also get to simulate game-day technique. And, not only do dancers get to learn from the Rebel Girls themselves, but their coaches, and local Vegas choreographers.

Note: Session 1 is from June 16 - 18.
