Two northbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard between Tropicana and Harmon avenues are closed following a water pipe rupture this morning.
The break was reported about 6 a.m. after a contractor hit a 30-inch pipeline while working on a project, said a Las Vegas Valley Water District spokesman. Crews are working to repair the damaged pipe, with no estimate for when the repairs will be finished.
Resorts and commercial properties in the area, such as the MGM Grand and Monte Carlo, are being serviced by another water line.
