Las Vegas City Mayor Carolyn Goodman and City Councilman Stavros Anthony debate their plans for the city's future.

The $200 million downtown soccer stadium plan came and died.

But Mayor Carolyn Goodman’s push for the stadium convinced City Councilman Stavros Anthony to run for her job.

In two days, early voting begins in Las Vegas. Though four people are running for the mayor’s seat, campaign contributions indicate the top two candidates are Anthony and Goodman. Anthony has raised about $200,000; Goodman, about $300,000.

But beyond the soccer stadium, what divides these two?

Both candidates talked to “KNPR’s State of Nevada” about that.
