Nevada lawmaker and taxation committee chair Michele Fiore has once again been removed from leadership positions in the Republican Assembly Caucus.
Assembly Speaker John Hambrick announced the removal Thursday, a day after writing a Facebook post critical of public accusations she made about two Republican consultants.
Fiore came under fire last week after political reporter Jon Ralston reported that more than $1 million in liens had been filed against her in the past decade.
She was briefly removed from leadership but restored hours later.
She responded to questions about the liens in a round of media earlier this week, blaming a dishonest employee and her ex-husband for the tax problems and accusing two consultants of conspiring against her.
Hambrick later defended the consultants and called the comments regrettable and baseless.
