The late state assemblyman who was a driving force behind the creation of several athletic fields in Carson City might soon have his name on a sports complex.
The Nevada Appeal reports the Carson City Parks and Recreation Commission voted unanimously Wednesday to recommend the board of supervisors rename the Edmond Sports Complex as the Pete Livermore Sports Complex.
The two-term assemblyman died Oct. 20 at the age of 73 after he decided against running for re-election. He was a city supervisor for 12 years and president of the Carson City Youth Sports Association for 25 years.
