Man Pleads Guilty In LV Pet Store Fire

Kirk Bills pleaded guilty to arson and attempted animal cruelty charges in the Prince and Princess pet shop case Wednesday. He told a judge he didn't want to be remembered as the man who set fire to the Las Vegas pet store, endangering the lives of 27 puppies. He entered his plea in Clark County District Court to avoid trial on a total of 31 felonies in the January 27 fire.

Bills faces up to 19 years in prison and will remain in jail until sentencing March 2.  Store owner Gloria Lee is due for sentencing February 25 after pleading guilty last week to arson, attempted animal cruelty and insurance fraud. She faces 24 years in prison.
