Nevada Still Behind in Recovery

The nine million jobs lost during the great recession have been replaced.

But, there are still 32 states that have not recovered many of the jobs lost in the last six years. States like Illinois, Florida and New Jersey are still down tens of thousands of jobs. Nevada has fared the worst. The Silver State still has six percent fewer jobs today than it did before the recession started.

States like North Dakota and Texas have had massive increases in jobs. Construction remains the hardest hit industry.
