It appears UNLV football will be eligible for the postseason after all. Earlier this year the NCAA handed down a bowl ban as punishment for not meeting grade requirements. The NCAA uses the Academic Progress Rate, or APR, to score school programs. It awards a maximum of four points per athlete during a school year. Originally UNLV had a score of 925, which makes it ineligible for a bowl. But officials at the NCAA had to admit a miscalculation and awarded the Rebels a few extra points that now lifts the bowl ban.
