Conserving The Tule Springs Fossil Beds

Congressman Rob Bishop was blamedfor derailing legislation to create a national monument at Tule Springs, northeast of Las Vegas. The Congressman says he was simply trying to change the legislation to conform with budget rules in the House of Representatives. But, say conservationists, the rules would wreck the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act - the 1998 law that has funded parks and recreation spaces in Southen Nevada. So how can this dispute be resolved? And will Tule Springs become a national monument?
