Horse Slaughter Poised To Resume In U.S.

Two new horse slaughterhouses are poised to open in the United States, for the first time in 2007. Valley Meat Companyin Roswell, N.M. could begin operation later this week after a judge cleared the last legal hurdles. Could wild horses from Nevada and other Western states end up at U.S. slaughterhouses? And could that be a humane solution for over-population?
