Hot Club of Las Vegas

It’s called “gypsy swing” or “hot club jazz.”  That’s the style popularized by French guitarist Django Reinhardt, whose fast strumming gave jazz a “swinging” feel.  And local band, Hot Club of Las Vegas, is channeling Django’s spirit and giving “gypsy swing” new life in the valley.  We talk to its members about their love of gypsy jazz, how they're reinventing themselves with a sultry new Cuban singer, and how they sell the style to Las Vegans.  They also treat us to an in-studio performance.
