Is a High School Grad Ready for College?

The Nevada Department of Education is considering switching the high school exit exam to another test in order to better determine a student's college preparedness. The test they're considering is the ACT, a test already accepted by many universities and colleges for admission. We'll look at the current high school proficiency test and ask if it really tells us much about what students are learning in school. And, we'll look to see if there's a correlation between the proficiency test and the increasing number of college students who are taking remedial classes.

GUESTS:

Sue Daellenbach, Assistant Superintendent of Assessment, CCSD
