Winchester Skate Team

If you saw 14 teens dressed in baggy jeans and hoodies, and tooling around on skateboards, what would you think? Trouble? Not so, says Hektor Esparza. He heads the local Winchester Skate Team. They volunteer for the community, showcase their art, and keep their eye on the ultimate goals: college and careers. The team members talk to us about redefining the skater image, and show off a few cool tricks.

Guests:
Hektor Esparza, professional skateboarder and Skate Program Leader, Winchester Cultural Center and Skate Park
Richard Thomas, student, Valley HS
Sammy Llamas, student, Valley HS
