Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman endorses Heck for Senate

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman is endorsing Republican Rep. Joe Heck in his bid for Senate.

Goodman said Monday that Heck has served Las Vegas residents as part of a police search and rescue team and as a doctor at University Medical Center, as well as in Congress.

Heck is running against Democratic former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto for the seat being vacated by longtime Democratic Sen. Harry Reid. The race is expected to be close.
