Life in Death: Day of the Dead at Winchester Cultural Center. This family-friendly festival includes displays, an art exhibit, performances, craft sales and food vendors, as well as beautiful “ofrendas,” or altars, built by families and other groups in memory of deceased relatives. Dia de Muertos at the Springs Preserve. This all-ages event features live theater and dance performances, face-painting, sugar skull-decorating and, of course, mariachis! Nov. 6-8, $3-$10, springspreserve.org
