The Vegas Movie Experience Was Anything But Normal In 2020

Associated Press

Going to the movies this year was a whole different experience in 2020 — especially the going part.

Due to Covid-19 protocols and a crippled film industry, movie lovers were left with fewer options on the big screens — and fewer big screens. For months, theaters weren’t even open.

Studios were left to put most of their new releases online. Local filmmakers and film festivals were forced to do the same.

But that doesn’t mean there weren’t great movies that came out this year. And some Vegas filmmakers saw their new movies do quite well despite the pandemic.
