Nevada and Clark County have embarked on a effort to improve the image of foster and kinship care. They hope to attract better foster parents and reduce instability in the system. The ultimate goal is to place children in homes that are a good fit, and reduce the need for group homes.
But does the system need more than an image improvement? Are there ways to improve the experience for foster parents? And how can you do that while protecting the welfare of kids in the foster care system?
