Bullying In Southern Nevada: What It Is And How To Stop It

In December, a 13-year-old student at White Middle School committed suicide. She left a note blaming bullying for the drastic decision to end her life. But research on bullying hasn't always created a clear correlation between schoolyard abuse and suicide. And while schools and law enforcement agencies have increasingly cracked down on bullying, evidence suggests that the real solution to adolescent aggression is to change school culture -- not to inflict harsh penalties on bullies. So what is the best way to handle aggressive behavior? And what should you do if you think your child is being bullied, or bullying others?
