Las Vegas Sen. Richard "Tick" Segerblom said five measures signed into law by Governor Brian Sandoval will spur the opening of new medical marijuana businesses around the state.

Tick Segerblom recently sponsored legislation that would not just do away with the state's ban on gay marriage, it would also legalize same-sex unions in the state. Voters passed the gay marriage ban in 2000 and 2002, but public opinion on the subject has changed a lot since then. But the question remains -- is the state ready to recognize same-sex marriage?
