Thinking Outside the Box: Engineers and Their Inventions

Imagine bolting a battery and electric motor to your car, and automatically converting it to a hybrid.  That's just one idea on display when UNLV engineering students present their latest inventions at the 2012 Senior Design Competition.  We talk with some of the students, plus a venture capital investor on the viability of these ideas.

The UNLV College of Engineering Hosts its Spring 2012 Senior Design Competition on May 3 from 7:45 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion Concourse.

GUESTS

Jimmy Floyd, UNLV engineering student
