Nevada has followed some other states including California in striking a deal with online retailer Amazon that requires the company to collect state sales tax after 2014. That means that anything bought from Amazon will also have 8.1 percent sales tax added. The state estimates that will bring in an additional $16 million annually. So why strike a deal now? And what is the agreement to lobby Congress for national legislation mean?
