Re-imagining a New East Fremont

The business corridor on East Freemont and Charleston, nearby the Blue Angel Motel, was once a hot center of Las Vegas; about forty years ago.  Over the decades it has been in decline.

Developer Arnold Stalk wants to turn it around.  He and his group have purchased thousands of square feet of properties in the area, including the Blue Angel, and plan to build retail space but the biggest draw, they hope, will be a bar of  live Latin Music.

Can he turn this once rundown sector into a hotbed of business?  And, is he trying to provide the large Latin community with more entertainment opportunities?
