In the 1960s, Tom Hayden rioted at the Democratic Convention in Chicago. He founded Students for a Democratic Society, and later flew to North Vietnam to protest the Vietnam War. It might be an understatement to call Tom Hayden an "activist." So what does the activism icon think of students today? Where are all the walkouts and protests that defined the 1960s and 70s? When UNLV students protested budget cuts, did anything change? Are students doing enough to influence decision makers? We talk to Tom Hayden and a CSN student group about activism today.
