The Sad State of the Liberal Arts

University of Chicago philosopher Martha Nussbaum argues in a forthcoming book that we are in a crisis because we have ignored the liberal arts. Just because they don't make money doesn't mean they aren't important for our democracy. Nussbaum will be lecturing tomorrow night at Doc Rando Hall at UNLV on the state of the liberal arts.
