Dave Becker
Director of ProgrammingDave Becker joined Nevada Public Radio as Program Director in late 2007. He’s the “buck stops here” staffer for everything heard on KNPR and KCNV, and he’s also a last-ditch substitute host and a voice in NVPR’s membership campaigns.
In addition to KNPR, his radio career took him to Iowa, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Kansas. He began in commercial radio while in college, then was snagged by public radio at his alma mater, the University of Iowa, and has been in its orbit ever since.
He and his wife, Marge, are proud of their four children and love doting on their four grandchildren.
