When defensive lineman Carl Nassib of the Las Vegas Raiders came out on his Instagram on Monday, he made history as the first openly gay active player in the NFL.
Nassib also announced his donation of $100,000 to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention among LGBTQ youth.
