Research: Husbands Are More Partisan When Wives Earn More

Researchers at Fairleigh Dickinson University found that a husband’s political views are impacted when his wife makes more than him. Republican men became less supportive of abortion rights the further they fell behind spouses in earnings, while Democratic men became more supportive of abortion rights.

Here & Now‘s Robin Young speaks with Curt Nickisch (@CurtNickisch) of Harvard Business Review about the research.

You won’t find a paywall here. Come as often as you like — we’re not counting. You’ve found a like-minded tribe that cherishes what a free press stands for.  If you can spend another couple of minutes making a pledge of as little as $5, you’ll feel like a superhero defending democracy for less than the cost of a month of Netflix.
