Documents filed with the town’s planning commission show plans for the Silverton Ranch Hotel and Casino, slated for construction on 7.5 acres off State Route 160 at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch.

The Nye County Sheriff’s office Bell died in his Pahrump home yesterday.

State Issues Ban On Groundwater Wells In Pahrump

Nevada’s top water regulator has ordered a stop to residential well drilling in Pahrump.

Widening Of State Road 160 Finished

Jun 01, 2017

The Nevada Department of Transportation completed a widening of a dangerous stretch of road that links Las Vegas to Pahrump this week.

The $16 million road project widened a five-mile portion of State Route 160, or Blue Diamond Road from two travel lanes to four.

One Person Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting In Pahrump

Officers shot and killed a person in Pahrump early today while serving a search warrant, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and detectives were conducting the search about 2 a.m. on Leslie Street in Pahrump, about 70 miles west of Las Vegas, officials said.
