LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials announced Wednesday the National Finals Rodeo is moving this year from Las Vegas to Arlington, Texas, due to coronavirus restrictions.
The Cowboy Christmas gift show which usually runs in Las Vegas in December in conjunction with the National Finals Rodeo has been cancelled for this year.
Las Vegas Events, the organization that runs it, said Tuesday it’s because people won’t be attending the rodeo.
Traffic is expected to be heavier than usual in the vicinity of the Thomas & Mack Center, as the 60th annual National Finals Rodeo gets underway Thursday.
Some 170,000 fans are expected to attend events over a ten-day period.
