The passing rate for Clark County sophomores taking the state's math proficiency exam hit an all-time low this year. Two-thirds of them failed the exam. The combination of a new curriculum and rising standards might have contributed to the low passage rates, but teachers and students had a year to adapt to the new material. So what gives?
