LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Nevada fire chief says a multiagency program created after the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008 allowed first responders to have a coordinated response to the Las Vegas mass shooting last year.
More than 1,400 Clark County employees made over $100,000 last year.
A large portion of those numbers come from the fire department, which doled out millions of dollars in overtime pay and had about 540 six-figure earners. That’s a total of about 70 percent of the department.
