    Report: Nevada Gambling Revenue Falls 1.7 Percent In July

    LAS VEGAS (AP) — State regulators say gambling revenue at Nevada casinos was down about 1.7 percent in July compared with the same month a year ago.

    Data released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board show casinos won almost $998 million from gamblers last month.

    Company Agrees To Buy Off-Strip Palms For $312.5 Million

    LAS VEGAS (AP) — Station Casinos parent company Red Rock Resorts Inc. has agreed to buy the off-Strip Palms resort for $312.5 million.

    The deal anticipated to close by the end of the third quarter is contingent upon state and federal regulatory approval.

    CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Regulators say a Northern California man who bought two casinos in Virginia City is unfit for a gambling license.

    The Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended Wednesday to deny Vincent Michael Malfitano a license and the ability to be the casinos' landlord.
