A note from CEO and President Jerry Nadal

It is difficult to comprehend the times we find ourselves in. Thousands of Nevadans are out of work amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The state and federal governments are working on solutions, and landlords and utilities are being flexible, but it's a tense time when people might be asking themselves tough questions about what's next for their families.

Nevada Public Radio is here to keep you and this community informed on the latest details on COVID-19 with clear, fact-based reporting that is a hallmark of public media.  While most people are quarantined in their homes riding this pandemic out, we at Nevada Public Radio are working double-time to share the stories that matter to you, like our conversations with CCSD Superintendent Jesus Jara on distance learning during the pandemic and concerned medical workers in the valley who told us they are having to share personal protective gear. Find more from KNPR’s State of Nevada.

We’ve also compiled a comprehensive Coronavirus resource guide to help those in need connect with the services available.

This is only possible because of listeners giving what they can to fund this essential service. My personal promise to you - in the days and weeks ahead - is that we will continue to fulfill our mission of putting the power of trusted information directly into the hands of everyone in the communities we serve, and I ask that you give what you can to ensure this service is sustainable.

Everyone at Nevada Public Radio sincerely hopes you and yours remain healthy and safe.

Sincerely,

Jerry Nadal

CEO & President
