How would you describe yourself to voters?

A Proven and trusted Conservative Leader and member of the Nevada Legislative Freedom Caucus, the first state caucus to be recognized by the National House Freedom Caucus. I believe in the Reagan three-legged stool and is committed to advocate for open, accountable, and limited government. I believe in our constitution and will fight for policies that provide freedom and promote liberty.

What do you see as the top issues in this campaign?

Economy
Nevada’s economy has been hurt by the coronavirus. While other states allowed businesses to operate, our Governor closed most of ours down. We need to get our economy moving again and be more flexible in engaging local business and helping them through this recovery.

Taxes
I have always believed that we can’t ask for more taxes unless we truly commit to reducing out spending and using out current dollar more efficiently.

Mental Health
Nevada has a mental health crisis on its hands that PK is committed to finding a solution for.

Education
PK proudly supports education reform and is committed to school choice polices that empowers parents allowing them to make the best choices for their children.

Veterans
Our Veterans have often been overlooked and we need to show them the same support they showed us. During my time in the legislature I have been able to pass several pieces of legislation for the benefit of our veterans.

2nd amendment Rights.
I am committed to protecting our Second Amendment rights and fixing our grossly flawed current legislation.

In your opinion, how would you rate the state’s response to the pandemic? Why?

I would Rate the state response at a 1. The lockdowns had a lasting negative impact on the economy but had a minimal effect on the spread of the virus. The state Continually put out misinformation and when needed did not correct themselves.

Education and local government officials have long asked lawmakers to change the way the state assesses property taxes. That includes raising the current tax threshold. Should lawmakers consider raising those thresholds? If not, what is the best way for governments to raise money for local programs?

I do not think we should raise taxes or thresholds at all. We should put more of an effort into how we can responsibly spend and manage the funds we already have at our disposal. More Funding isn’t always the solution for education. We should look to solutions like school choice and Parent empowerment Policies so each family can make choices in their child’s education.
