How would you describe yourself to voters?

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, a licensed contractor and small business owner, and I want to preserve Nevada’s way of life and prevent our state from turning into California.

What do you see as the top issues in this campaign?

Public Safety and Crime, Education with School Choice, and to Rein in the Power of the Governor.

In your opinion, how would you rate the state’s response to the pandemic? Why?

Nevada’s response to COVID-19 was a complete disaster under the leadership of Steve Sisolak. Sisolak’s response to shut down the state led to the highest unemployment rates in the country, the destruction of countless small businesses, and the attack on fundamental rights like religious freedom. Nevada was one of the last in the country to lift mask mandates and revoke the state of emergency at the detriment to our economy, our children’s education, and our rights. To top it off, the state assembly and senate failed to vote to rein in the unconstitutional overreach of Governor Sisolak.

Education and local government officials have long asked lawmakers to change the way the state assesses property taxes. That includes raising the current tax threshold. Should lawmakers consider raising those thresholds? If not, what is the best way for governments to raise money for local programs?

Nevada should not raise the property tax. Raising property taxes, or any tax for that matter, would be detrimental to the economy and deter new investments in our state. This is especially true with the historic levels of inflation making the cost of living almost unreasonable. The best way to raise revenue is to create a competitive market that attracts new businesses, investments, and people by reducing regulation/cost of business. It is also important to mandate that CCSD undergo a independent, forensic audit to find how and why the billions in education is being spent.
