East Las Vegas intersection to close 4 days for 'construction marathon'

The intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Fremont Street will close for four days for construction.

The project will take place from 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 through 5 a.m., Monday, March 28 to install a new water main and storm drain.

  • Northbound Fremont will be detoured to northbound Mojave Road or 28th Street
  • Southbound Fremont will be detoured to Eastern Avenue
  • Eastbound Charleston will be detoured to southbound Eastern or Fremont
  • Westbound Charleston will be detoured to northbound Fremont.

Sidewalks will be closed, but buisness access will be maintained, according to a media release from the city of Las Vegas.
The Charleston-Maryland Storm Drain Project started in October and will be completed January 2024. Residents with concerns or questions should call 702-405-6822, the city said.
