CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak faces criticism from political opponents who claim he is trying to take credit for moves to reopen Nevada that he previously promised to delegate to counties.
Sisolak said Tuesday that he was confident that all of the state's counties will be able to reopen at 100% capacity by June 1.
He framed the announcement as good news and a result of successful policies. But the decisions he referred to will ultimately fall to county officials because the state plans to delegate reopening decisions to them starting May 1.

Some county officials questioned the timing of Sisolak's announcement and called it politically motivated.
