Las Vegas Man Dies In Police Custody After Dealership Arrest

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities in Las Vegas say a man has died in custody after an apparent "medical crisis" at a car dealership.

Police Capt. Sasha Larkin said officers responded to a call Monday around 1:40 p.m. after an employee reported that a man in his early 30s had entered the business and was rambling incoherently.

Larkin said the caller told police the man was "striking numerous employees," before he was secured. Authorities said when officers arrived, they placed the man in a "recovery position" to check his breathing, which was considered inconsistent.

Police then called medical assistance, who pronounced the man dead at the scene. No other information was immediately available.
