LAS VEGAS (AP) — Federal prosecutors says a Las Vegas man could face years of prison time after pleading guilty to making a straw purchase of 10 semiautomatic rifles.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for Nevada says 37-year-old Ethan Erhardt pleaded guilty Friday and is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 13 in connection with the February 2019 purchase.
According to the office, Erhardt falsely stated on a U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives form that he was the actual buyer of the guns, though he knew he would turn them over to another person who provided $80,000 for the purchase.
