Cirque du Soleil, which has six shows on the Strip, has filed for bankruptcy protection, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
The company is based in Montreal and is seeking a debt restructuring protection under Canada’s Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, it announced Monday.
The company said in its filing that the need to refinance was the result of disruptions and show closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
